For the start of a new week, I've decided to share with you my new favourite technique - the jelly stampwich. What's not to love?! Jellies - love. Stamping - love. That gorgeous softening effect jellies have on stamping - love love love! I've tried it before HERE
The OPI NYC Ballet collection has been perfect for this style, because they are all very soft and neutral and so don't distract too much from the stamping, although I think it would also work with brighter, punchier colours. Barre My Soul is a pretty fabulous pale pinky peach jelly. It applied beautifully! 2 coats and your nails still look fairly bare, but just, more perfect!
Beware, there is some vnl ahead! Personally I don't mind it at all - I often have to rock bare nails for work (well, 2 coats of Gelous bare!), and I have no problem with seeing my and others nail line. I know some people don't like it though, so don't say I didn't warn you!
You can tell when I'm happy with a manicure because I have more pictures of it!
This is 2 coats of Barre My Soul, stamped with Konad White and BM204, then 2 more coats of Barre My Soul. I maybe should have just used one, but I still love it. It's so soft and pretty, totally work appropriate and yet so much more exciting than plain polish or a french manicure. It's...I don't even know how to describe it, but to me it looks like something that has been done to my nails, rather than put on them, if that makes sense? I love it, I love this technique, and you'll be seeing plenty more of this from me! (Especially as my jelly collection recently got quite a bit larger - more on that story later!)
